Sing along with “Grease” at the Uni Film Festival on April 29
[Posted Mar. 15, 2017] Did you have more fun at Uni than Danny and Sandy had at Rydell High in “Grease”?
Then get your gang together and find your bobby sox for a night back to the 1950s when the UHEF presents the sing-along version of the 1978 smash movie at the Stivelman Theater on Saturday night, April 29 at 7 p.m.!
The Grease Sing-A-Long version, starring Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta has been digitally remastered in this special version, made for audience participation.
If you’re “Hopelessly Devoted” to Grease, you’ll be able to sing along to “You’re the One That I Want,” “Beauty School Dropout,” “Summer Nights” and all of the film’s big hits as you experience the friendships, romances and adventures of a group of high school kids in 1950s Los Angeles.
This event features the hit movie complete with song lyrics printed on the screen! You can come as you are, or dress up as characters from the movie, but come ready to clap and sing along to one of the fun movies of all time.
This is a fund-raiser for the Uni Hi Education Foundation. Tickets, which will include snacks as well, are expected to be $20 for adults and $10 for students with student identification. You will be able to buy tickets online in the next few days at:
www.UHEF-presents-Grease.BrownPaperTickets.com
The film will be shown using a special projector to span a cyclorama screen across the entire theater stage, so you’ll essentially be right in the middle of the quad at Rydell High for the entire show!
The first-ever University High School Student Film Festival will take place on Friday (28), beginning at 4 p.m., showcasing student films from Uni and other high schools. If you’d like to help with the organization and promotion of the festival, don’t be shy and let us know right away by e-mail at Connect@UHEF.org.
