“The Fantasticks” opens at Uni on November 30

The famed lyrical and romantic musical that tells an allegorical love story about a boy, a girl, two mothers (in the Uni version) and a wall will open for four performances only at the renovated Stivelman Theater on campus on Wednesday, November 30. The schedule:
(1) Nov. 30 at 3:30 p.m.: Wednesday/Special Student Performance
(2) Dec. 01 at 7:00 p.m.: Thursday/Opening Night
(3) Dec. 02 at 7:00 p.m.: Friday/Weekend Opener
(4) Dec. 03 at 2:00 p.m.: Saturday/Closing Matinee
Tickets are priced at $10 for adults and $5 for students with identification. You can buy tickets online up to one day prior to the show date by credit card here (buyer pays credit card and handling fee), or in cash (only) on-campus at the University High School Student Store, or at the Box Office before each performance. Holders of valid Warriors & Wildcats Activity Cards are admitted free, of course!
Uni’s Director of Theatre Arts, Ronnie Sperling ‘76, promises a great show, with a running time of two hours total. The program will feature:

- Giovanni Molinaro at Matt
- Jasmine Mentzer as Hucklebee
- Victoria Saxxon as Bellamy
- Victoria Emile Brown as Henry
- Joseph Mejia as Mortimer
- Nuhamin Fekade as Mute
- Erin Washington as Mute
The theater itself will be one of the stars of the show, with an all-new lobby, flooring, seating and sound systems. Stivelman Theater at University High School (11800 Texas Avenue, Los Angeles, California 90025) is located on the Texas Avenue side of the school.
Ample street parking is available. Refunds available only up to the day prior to the show. Refunds will not be issued for missed performances.
