David Cheatom Leads
As the librarian, I must confess I am not as avid a sports fan as the previous (and more skilled) writer of this report. At some point this year, I began to realize that junior David Cheatom, as one of the three captains of the varsity basketball team, is big man on campus who plays guard and forward for our beloved Coach Ackerman. From my perch on the third floor of the Administration Building in the library, David was not on my radar as our campus superstar speaks, and this speaks to the exact reason he is a natural captain in addition to a natural player. David is one of those quiet, modest people who makes the people around him feel as if they are doing a great job. At this early point in the season, David averages around triple the national average in points, assists, rebounds, and blocks per game. Watch this highlight reel and you will see the great passing and scoring that stack up to produce those impressive stats. (https://www.adarsus.com) His neat offensive style on the court shows you the kind of person he is off the court as well: careful, quiet, and results-minded. He is the kind of person who earns the respect from peers and staff. He is a young leader with a great work ethic and no bluster. We are lucky to have future David Cheatom at Uni to help lead the Wildcats into the future.
